Therapy Services for Children & Families Helping children, parents and families grow and flourish.
People seek therapy services for themselves and for their children for a variety of reasons. At different times in our lives we face problems and challenges that are difficult to cope with and overcome.
Therapy gives people a safe and confidential place to express their feelings, process the challenges they are facing and develop strategies and insight to help them cope, grow and move forward to heal.
I specialize in:
· Individual Therapy and Family Therapy with children ages 2-18.
· Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) with children ages 2-7.
· Therapy with children and adolescents with internalizing issues (i.e. low self-esteem, sadness, anxiety, depression, relationship issues etc.).
· Therapy with children and adolescents with externalizing issues (i.e. challenging behaviors, ADHD, acting out at home or school, anger, irritability, etc.).
· Helping parents with developing effective parenting strategies.
· Enhancing parent—child relationships.
· Helping children and parents cope and recover from a traumatic event
In order to provide the best services to my clients, I continue to work part-time at the UC Davis Children’s Hospital CAARE Center to remain on the cutting-edge of evidence based therapy for children and families. The CAARE Center is well known and respected for their research in PCIT and other evidence based therapy practice. |
